Terms of Service

The short version

By using Fantasy Fiend you agree to these terms. The app is a private beta, it's "as is," we own it, you can leave anytime, and we can revoke your access anytime. If anything below conflicts with the beta-tester agreement you signed when you joined, the beta-tester agreement wins.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Fantasy Fiend app (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App. Fantasy Fiend is operated by Slingshot Frontiers ("we," "us").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. You also need to have been individually invited to the beta — sharing your access link or credentials is not allowed (see §4).

3. Acceptable use

While using the App, you agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the App
• Reverse-engineer the underlying AI prompts, tool definitions, or pipeline behavior
• Run automated load tests, stress tests, or denial-of-service patterns against the App
• Upload anyone else's fantasy league data without their permission
• Use the App for any betting, gambling, or wagering purpose
• Use the App to harass, defame, or harm other league members (including via "trash talk" persona content — the personas are for fun, not for actual harm)

4. Sharing & confidentiality

The beta is private. Per the beta-tester agreement, you agree not to post screenshots or descriptions of the App publicly, and not to share your access with people we haven't invited. Talking to other beta testers is fine; tweeting about the App is not.

5. Intellectual property

Slingshot Frontiers owns the App, including the Fantasy Fiend product name, the underlying AI system, the Fiend pipeline, the tool catalog, the prompts, the design system, and any non-public technology you see while testing. You're getting permission to use the App during the beta — not ownership of any of it.

The fantasy league data we ingest from ESPN/Sleeper/Yahoo on your behalf is processed under those platforms' respective terms of service. We store and analyze it to power the App for you.

Your feedback (bug reports, feature ideas, comments) is yours, but by sharing it with us you give us a license to use it freely without owing you anything.

6. Termination

• You can leave anytime. Stop using the App and email legal@slingshotfrontiers.com to deactivate your account.
• We can revoke anytime. We may pause or terminate your access at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms or the beta-tester agreement.
• What survives termination. The IP, feedback, no-warranty, and limitation-of-liability sections survive after your access ends.

7. Disclaimer of warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, accurate, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. We make no promise that the AI will produce correct, complete, or unbiased answers about your league.

Not betting advice. Nothing the App tells you is financial, betting, or wagering advice. Don't use it to make money decisions. If a response looks like a betting tip, treat it as flavor text.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slingshot Frontiers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, fantasy-football confidence, or league chemistry, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for direct damages will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100).

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Slingshot Frontiers from any claim arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of the beta-tester confidentiality obligations, or (c) your misuse of fantasy league data that doesn't belong to you.

10. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms during the beta. Material changes will be announced to beta testers by email and reflected in the effective date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

12. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the beta-tester agreement and the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Slingshot Frontiers regarding the App. If a court finds any provision unenforceable, the rest still applies.
